“Sergeant Keroro—the Super Duper Movie-Adventure in Space-Time Island.’ That’s the English title for the fifth feature film about the comical manga hero Sergeant Keroro, which will be appearing in theaters in February, 2010. The series depicts interactions between Earthmen and Sergeant Keroro, a bumbling alien from the planet Keron, and his Keroro Platoon. The series, with its endearing hero in the form of an incompetent frog, has scored a major hit with fans ranging from children to adults.

Publication of Sergeant Keroro manga has now reached the 19th volume, and a total of more than 12 million copies have been sold. The TV cartoon series, with some 300 episodes broadcast, remains immensely popular as well.

This latest feature film is set on Easter Island, an isolated island in a distant ocean on the far side of the world. Seeking to unlock the mystery of a strange stone statue that looks exactly like their sergeant, the members of the Keroro Platoon find themselves engaged in a great adventure.
