Yusei and his friends had come into possession of an extremely valuable Stardust Dragon card; however, the card is stolen by Yusei’s powerful archrival Jack Atlus. Two years ago Jack lived together with Yusei and his friends in the Satellite district, but he escaped to the wealthy part of town and became a card game champion. Gradually Yusei accumulates cards given to him by his friends and escapes Satellite astride his D-Wheel motorcycle. At long last, he faces off against Jack in the Duel Stadium.

Jack calls upon his ace card, Red Daemon’s Dragon, while Yusei calls upon the Stardust Dragon. In the middle of their fierce battle, the Crimson Dragon suddenly appears and the dragon-shaped mark on Yusei’s right arm begins to glow—lo and behold, Jack has had a similar mark since birth! Unbeknown to the two boys, their dragon marks will guide their destinies in the dynamic and fast-paced card game.
