In the episode where the chick "Biyo-chan" is introduced, the hungry Dona Dona Chan is just about to eat the last egg she had, when suddenly Biyo-chan hatches out from the egg. Dona Dona Chan is disappointed, having missed out on her meal. But Biyo-chan, quite unaware of this, clings on to her and crys, "Cheep cheep, I'm hungry, feed me!" Dona Dona Chan just sits there silently, feeling as hungry as ever but she fails to show her frustration on Biyo-chan. Her expression is touchingly pitiful.
