Tokyo English Life Line (TELL) is a registered nonprofit organization that has been serving the international and Japanese communities since 1973. The Life Line offers free, anonymous telephone counseling and day-to-day information every day of the year by highly trained volunteer counselors with counseling skills based on active listening techniques, supervised apprenticeship on the line, on-going supervision, and continuing education. Face-to-Face Counseling is also available for individuals, families and groups on a variety of topics, provided by professional, qualified psychotherapists with a broad range of skills and experience. Face-to-Face Counseling is offered in English, Japanese, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Hindi on a flexible, sliding fee basis. TELL also offers educational workshops as well as community outreach programs for corporations, embassies and schools throughout the year.
