Statue carved in 1804 by the wandering monk Mokujiki from a block of gingko wood, entitled Senju Sengan Kannon Zo ("Kannon Goddess of Mercy with 1,000 Arms and 1,000 Eyes"). The simple yet bold lines are mesmerizing.
