(2)   The Ferris wheel at Palette Town is one of the world's largest. It has a diameter of 100 meters and is 115 meters tall. One time around takes about 16 minutes.

(3)   The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation has easy-to-understand displays on the latest scientific achievements. The museum director is Mohri Mamoru, an astronaut.

(4)   Venus Fort, in Palette Town. The interior is modeled on a European cityscape, and has many fashionable clothing stores.

(5)   The Tokyo International Exhibition Center, popularly known as "Tokyo Big Sight," hosts trade fairs displaying everything from books to cars to semiconductors. The Comic Market (manga, animé, etc.) is held here and attracts worldwide interest.

(6)   Walk a few steps from the huge commercial buildings and you will find yourself on a man-made beach where seagulls rest their wings.

(7)   A cannon battery still stands in Daiba Park. The park also has the ruins of an ammunition storehouse.

(8)   The Yurikamome train passes through Odaiba. Looking west on a clear day, you can see Mount Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan.

(9)   Aquacity Odaiba, the large commercial building in the foreground, has 13 cinemas. The sphere on the roof of Fuji Television's headquarters is an observatory.

(10)   Façde of Tenyasu, a store selling tsukuda-ni. The business was founded more than 160 years ago. The 4th generation owner still carries on the culinary traditions of the Edo period (1603-1867).
