Square furoshiki cloths are used to wrap items, whether square, round or some other shape. The "watermelon wrap" technique is used for wrapping spherical things (right rear). Square and rectangular boxes can be wrapped neatly by tucking the cloth in at the corners.

These containers have the same shape but different sizes, so they can nest inside each other, from bigger to smaller. They are easy to store and the precision of the workmanship is extraordinary. (Photo: Ide Hiroyuki)
