In early 2009, Professor Osaka Takuro of Tsukuba University, who proposed this experiment, plans to make "light art" consisting of miniature lamps attached to spinning tops and to conduct an experiment in which weights are attached to two opposing arms and set in a spinning motion. Professor Osaka says that computer simulations for the experiment using weights have shown distinctive patterns of movement that are not possible on Earth. It will be fascinating to see what sorts of results come of his experiments.
