Battery aired from April to June 2008 in Japan on NHK's terrestrial and satellite channels, and the complete series is set to be rebroadcast during the summer vacation. The role of Harada is played by Nakayama Yuma, and Nagakura is played by Takada Sho. Certain aspects of their lives overlap with the story: both actors have some experience playing baseball and are about the same age as their characters.
