| Mega Web is a hands-on automobile theme park in Odaiba, Tokyo,
that Toyota Motor Corp. built around the core concept of "seeing, riding,
and feeling." The spacious main pavilion exhibits all of the roughly 140
cars that Toyota produces, and here visitors have the rare opportunity of seeing
racing cars up close. The pavilion also features the Virtual Real Drive, an amusement
ride based on an advanced driving simulator that was originally developed for
research use. Inside the capsule, people can experience what it is like driving
to the limit..
If you find a car that you like, there is a good chance that you can take it for a test drive along a 1.4-kilometer course. This attraction, called Ride One, offers a selection of over 80 of Toyota's cars, from the newest sports cars to luxury cars. Other features of Mega Web include an automated ride on one of the futuristic electric vehicles under development at Toyota. |
