Shinobi Gatana ("Ninja" swords)
These swords are relatively short with lengths of less than 60 cm. The blades were generally thick, heavy and straight because the "ninja" basically used a thrust fencing technique. A "ninja" sword can also be used as a stepladder for climbing over a fence, and the scabbard or sheath can also be used as a respiration pipe in underwater activities or for secretly overhearing conversations.
