Candies and snacks called dagashi have brought joy to children in Japan over many generations. In the past, candy shops selling dagashi - known as dagashiya - could be found all over Japan. Children didn't just shop there, they also hung out and played there. Although there are few dagashi shops remaining today, there still are enough around for us to go on a tour of dagashiya.
